What metronet tried to do in transferring us to bombardier was illegal. We were told long before shadow running commenced that we would not be farmed out to any of the shareholder companies. In fact many P-Way staff were worried that we would end up working on the motorways as a good deal of the consortium members were civil engineering firms. And then the deputy prime minister stepped in and announced that this would not happen and we would remain with the infraco and would never be transferred out.
We have managed to fight off one attempt to shaft us but Metronet (by the way, what happened to BCV and SSL as we were told they would be run as separate business units, another lie perhaps?) will try this again. Mark my words.
